Which are best airports to use for Bansko?

The nearest airport is Sofia, and the transfer takes about 2 hours and a half. You can also use Plovdiv or Thessaloniki airport, the transfer for both airports are about 4 hours.

Do you offer airport transfers?

Yes, we provide both booking service for airport transfers also private transfers to our Chalet.

Can you arrange transfers for same group arriving different flies.

Yes, please send us names and flight details and we take care of everything.

How do we meet at the airport?

The driver will be at arrivals and have an A4 sheet of paper with your name of it.

How close is the chalet to the ski lift?

We are very close, 450 m, it is about 6-7 min walk.
We do provide a complimentary ski shuttle from chalet to the lift/ ski hire centre.

Can you help with ski passes, equipment hire and lessons?

Yes we provide advance purchase of ski passes to wait for your at reception. No need to que and no extra charge for this service.
Adult ski Pass is about 173 euro for 6 days.
We are happy to book lessons and pre book equipment, for this we need name, age and lengths of equipment/lessons needed.
Skis can be let during night at the ski hire shop next to ski lift and picked up in the morning (we take you there with our free ski shuttle).

Is the ski pass inclusive of mountain insurance?

The pass has a limited insurance, in case of accident; there will be free rescue and check. There are extra charges for other medical services so a private insurance is advisable.

What are the costs at the restaurants on the ski runs?

Tea 1.5 euro, Beers 3 euro, Coffees 3 euro, Soups 3-5 euro, pizza 10-12 euro.

How far is Valentina from the apres-ski area?

We are very close, walking distance 8-10 min to main apre ski area with bars, restaurants, shops, clubs etc.
We are also close to old town and traditional taverns 10-12 min walk.

What food do you offer in the evening?

Our chef prepares a 3 course meal for each evening;
Starters: cream soups, bruschetta, salads, others
Mains: oven cooked, roasts and BBQ or chicken, pork, beef, lamb, pasta, lasagna, others. All with side salads or garnish and sauces
Desserts: ice-cream sundae, cakes and home made cakes, fresh fruit salads.

Do you offer sole use of the chalet?

We are a large chalet on 4 floors. We are happy to discuss a sole use for large groups or for a set fee. Alternatively we will offer all rooms for your group on same floor.

Do you offer baby and children facilities?

Yes we offer free baby cot with bedding, baby chairs, kids rooms with toys, books and DVDs.

Do you provide linen, towels and cleaning? Do you have hairdryers?

Yes we do daily quick clean and mid week full clean.
We provide free linen and towels also soap and shampoo sachets.

What money should we bring?

The currency in Bulgaria is Leva. You can bring some levs and you will be able to change sterling and euro at the many local banks and exchange offices at good rates. Most places in Bansko accept cards.

Do you accept cards?

Yes. At Valentina Heights Hotel we accept all major currencies also Credit card Visa and MasterCard. We also accept payments by card or bank transfer.

Do we need a Visa for Bulgaria?

European citizens also Serbian and Macedonian can travel without a Visa.
 Non European such us Russian do need a Visa.

When booking with us, please make a minimum 50% deposit and we will provide a letter confirming your booking and payment.
You must hold a valid passport to enter Bulgaria. For stays up to three months, your passport must be valid for the proposed duration of your stay; you do not need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this.
